Thomas Fred Minase goes by the artist name Gong Rasta General. He is an indigene of Nigeria, born and bred within its shores. The multi-talented artist from Edo state, is a singer, song writer and performer who has quite a lot to offer.


His musical journey began at the New Life Gospel Church far back in 1994. He was a member of the senior choir, and mentored the junior choir simultaneously. He has travelled and lived in Europe for many years, and has been exposed to multi diverse cultures, giving him international edge in his music renditions.
   
Listening and scoring the music of great artistes like Victor Uwaifo, 2Face Idibia, Buju Banton, Bob Marley, Michel Jackson, Peter Tosh, Elvis Presley has influenced a greater discipline for his art.

Gong Rasta general has his musical influences primarily from the REGGAE music genre.
Having worked with Ex O who produced his debut single, he is ready to release his music project for the year 2016.

 His debut single titled "CAROLINA" is produced, mixed and mastered by Ex O. The upbeat mid-tempo dance-hall music is a braggadocios expression of Gongs affection for women, the Lyric is fun oriented and delves around satisfying the beautiful Carolinas out there. A subtle tease if you must.

Everyone agrees that dancehall and reggae music are timeless in these parts. GONG RASTA GENERAL is in no mood to slack with his unique musical style.
