Cooks In A Girls' School In Akure Caught Picking Used Pads Of Students For "Ritual"

For allegedly caught picking the used sanitary pads of students from waste bins allegedly for ritual purposes, three cooks who are employees of the Federal Government Girls' College, Akure, have been arrested by men of the Ondo State Police Command.

The suspects, whose names were not released, were alleged to have taken the used pads of girls residing in the school to unknown places outside the school premises.

Today.ng reports that some students, who caught two of the cooks perpetrating the act, reported the matter to their teachers, who in turn alerted the principal, Mrs Florence Ejikeme.

A source said the principal, on hearing the matter, ordered for the immediate suspension of the three and began investigation on the matter.

Not pleased with the handling of the matter by the school authority, the students attempted to stage a protest but were stopped due to the intervention of the chairman of the Parents Teachers Association, Mr. Akin Ashimolowo.

However, the students were said to have reported the matter to their parents during their visiting day on a Saturday.

A parent, who spoke on condition of anonymity said that the suspects had confessed to the crime at the police station .

She alleged that one of the suspects is a wife of a prominent politician in the state and may want to use their 'connections' to sweep the matter under the carpets , adding that her child told her that it was not the first time such a thing would be happening in the school and nothing was being done.

The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for the Ondo State Command, Mr. Femi Joseph, who confirmed the incident said only two of the women were in the police custody while the command had commenced investigation on the matter.

The PPRO, who refused to mention the names of the suspects, however noted that the command had not been able to establish whether or not the suspects used the sanitary pads for ritual purposes as alleged.

New York Times: Greece Begins Sending Migrants Back as E.U. Deal Takes Effect

MYTELINI, Greece — Before a long-negotiated European Union accord with Turkey went into effect last month, the breezy Greek island of Lesbos, set in the shadow of the Turkish mainland, was a port of passage for hundreds of thousands refugees seeking to travel further into Europe.

On Monday, the Greek and European Union authorities effectively started ushering people out, as a phalanx of police officers began enforcing a program of mass deportations of migrants back to Turkey.

As the sun rose over the Aegean Sea, the final leg of many refugees' journey to reach European shores, more than 100 officers from the European border agency Frontex marched 136 migrants who had been held in a closed, military-run camp here onto the ramp of two ferries.

Caroline Danjuma's marriage to Musa Danjuma has been dogged by break up reports recently.
A few days ago Olisa TV published photos of a man they identified as billionaire Musa Danjuma on a date with a mystery mixed race blonde woman…it wasn't his wife Caroline.

About an hour ago the former actress turned producer took to her Instagram page to address the state of her marriage and she made a couple of revelations including the fact that she had once confronted one of her husband's mistresses, she ended her long post by writing,

Well I have fought a good fight to sustain my home and I know I gave it my best shot .. Even though it is not in my nature to give up but sometimes you just have to let go and pray for the best.

Now I am going to address this one time and that is it…. I got married to a man who was legally divorced for 4 years (fact).. I didn't know who is family was as I wasn't that sort of girl that read the news paper ?. Age was nothing but a number to me and yes I truly was in luv ( it was my choice) . Ever since I got married it has been one story or the other and I have been extremely quiet and tolerant irrespective of the negative reputation it brought to my name ( the price I had to pay). I never expected a perfect man and I for one knew that all men cheat ( in the real world) but there are limits to everything . I took a lot because I believe when you truly luv someone you should luv their flaws first before their beautiful side. I truly luv my husband , he added so much value to my life . Nothing in life comes easy sometimes we go through fire and storms to mould us into what God has truly destined us to be. One would think I lost a lot but no I gained more, marriage they say is the best institution of life and certainly I could rate mine as Harvard of marriage.. Every single storm I went through only made me see a strength in me I never new I had. It thought me to forgive before being hurt, to luv unconditionally, to accept one's flaws knowing I ain't perfect either , to be patient, hardworking , prudent and extremely prayerful … It certainly made me see the beautiful side of me and made me work on my bad sides. Marriage is not about changing the other it's about finding urself and working on your own flaws. Only once have I confronted a mistress and this is because she sent people to treathen me and kept calling my phone late at night telling me to stay away from my own husband ?. Well I have fought a good fight to sustain my home and I know I gave it my best shot .. Even though it is not in my nature to give up but sometimes you just have to let go and pray for the best. Everyone in life is fighting a demon some are lucky enough to have the grace to resist it. This is my family and I will never condemn him .. While you throw stones at him and call him names mk sure you have no skeletons in ur cupboard. No one has the right to judge.

Nick Blackwell has awoken from the induced coma he was placed into following his defeat to Chris Eubank Jr last week.
